What stays fixed
Before the first card is dealt, the table states how many deals will be played and how many players are sitting. Two deals and three deals are the common choices. Every player takes part in each deal, even after a high score. At the end, the lowest cumulative point total wins in the usual format.
The grouping rules do not change. You still need a valid 13-card declaration, including a pure sequence, for a deal to score zero.
Chips here are a score, not a balance
Many deals tables move “chips” between players to record the point difference. A chip in that sentence is a scoring token for the format. It is not a rupee balance, and this website does not convert chips into cash or run a chip ledger.
If two players finish on the same total, the table’s tie rule applies. Some play an extra deal. Some split. Check that rule before you sit.
When deals suit the sitting
Points rummy can end in a single deal. Pool rummy can end as soon as players cross 101 or 201. Deals rummy always lasts the agreed number of deals, which makes the length predictable. A bad first deal still has to be recovered inside the deals that remain.
